As much as I love watching TV, the summertime is a great time to get out and experience different entertainment options such as festivals, concerts, sporting events and more. What’s even better is the opportunity to rediscover places that you haven’t visited in a long time. Here in Chicago, I forget the great museums that we have downtown such as the Field Museum, The Museum of Science and Industry or the Shedd Aquarium that probably have changed a number of their exhibits since I last visited them as a kid.
Over the next couple of entertainment blog posts, I am going to highlight some great upcoming events that will get you up off your couch and out and about exploring your community with renewed interest. If you have some summertime shows that you love watching, don’t worry about missing them – set your DVR to record them.
